MTC--A Spiritual College Dorm & Happy Birthday Christopher!

Emailed Sept. 8, 2011

Hello Family,

I'm sorry to do this again, but I decided to write you all a bulk-family e-mail this week. I just decided that only having 30 minutes doesn't give me near enough time to write you all personal letters. Well, this has been a good week so far. My companion, my roomie Elders, and I, have all been having a good time. I must say that I think the best way I can describe this experience is to say that the MTC is a spiritual college dorm. There is always something crazy going on around here! We have the best Zone that you could ask for. Every day is spiritual, and a party at the same time! Don't get me wrong though the work is HARD!!! Especially in Español. This week we had to teach "Victor" 3 times, and we can only teach him in Spanish. When it comes to teaching, I am so glad that we have companions as missionaries. Elder Magnusson is great at giving lessons! I, on the other hand, find myself struggling to think of sentances and words in Spanish. At times it is discouraging, but by the end of the lesson, we often find ourselves quite satisfied with our work. When it comes to Spanish, the only things I can do without saying "uh" or "um", is bear my testimony and pray. Though both of the two are often very, very brief, I find that it is an excellent way to bring the spirit to our lesson. So, the lessons are going well.

I guess that I should take some time and answer some questions, cause I have a lot of them from you. First of all, yes, the food here is very good (most of the time), BUT sometimes it doesn't agree with me to well in the end of the day. To answer Dad, "No" there is not a chicken nugget line :( and the reason I had a bill from the doctor, was because I needed my Typhoid Fever shot. Also, I have had a few other expenses such as supplies and note taking material. To answer Mom, my Facebook Username is: tpetersen5@yahoo.com and my Password is as written: Kanden125 . Also, thanks for managing my Facebook, and thanks for the cookies!!! :) They were mui bien! Uh, no name for the blog yet, and technically, I have no blog message either, so yeah... I will try to send pictures if I can, but I have no idea how I will send them yet. To answer Mik, ci, espanol es mui dificil! Pardon my Spanish, it is horrible at the moment :) Truthfully, I only understood parts of your e-mail, so sorry if I don't answer everything you asked me. It is good to know that you had fun at the concert! And to Chris: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!!!! I'm hope you are having, had, or will have, a happy birthday! Sorry that I can't send anything to you at the moment, but I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you.

To you all: Thanks for the wonderful e-mails! I'm sorry my message is so short, and that I didn't have time to properly talk with all of you. I want you to know that I am always thinking of you, and that you are in my prayers. You don't have to worry about me here at the MTC. All is well. Also, I will try to hand-write you all if I can. As for you and my friends, I would suggest using dearelder.com if you want to send me a same day message. They just print out whatever you write, here at the MTC, and give it to us missionaries same day. Well, I have to go now. I love you all! Talk to you later!

Love, Trevor
